ST. LOUIS – A new report penned by researchers at Washington University in St. Louis claims that both the human and environmental health risks associated with fast fashion are “hidden throughout the lifecycle of each garment.”
The study has also found that the “disproportionate impact” experienced by those who produce and dispose of clothing is essential to understand in order to appreciate the magnitude of global injustice perpetuated by the overconsumption of cheap apparel in wealthy nations.
