LONDON – The latest round of written submissions to the UK parliamentary ‘fast fashion inquiry’ have been published, with various industry bodies contributing to the consultation process.
WRAP, Ethical Fashion Group, Worn Again Technologies, International Wool Textile Organisation, Fashion Revolution, London College of Fashion’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion and Fashion Roundtable have all sent in documents to support the process which is already under way.
Chair of the Environmental Audit Committee, Mary Creagh, explained that the inquiry, which has now called for submissions from major apparel retailers, aims to understand “how the UK can ensure its clothing industry is both thriving and sustainable.”
