AMSTERDAM – The corporate recovery and insolvency arm of Kingston Smith LLP is seeking a buyer for the intellectual property assets of Dutch non-profit MADE-BY following the firm entering liquidation last week.
MADE-BY, which worked with global fashion brands such as Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger and G-Star, was established in 2004 as an innovative and pioneering NGO aiming to address some of the key environmental and social challenges facing the fashion sector.
As initiatives in this space began sprouting up with increasing regularity in recent years, MADE-BY has become a victim of its own success; ending up crowded out of the market by organisations which will have almost certainly taken direct inspiration from the Dutch non-profit’s blueprint.
