WASHINGTON DC - Traditional composting practices offer an inexpensive way to promote healthy soil and more productive cotton farming, according to research by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).

An ICAC research project, carried out with international partner organisations including Bremen Cotton Exchange, into the 'biochar', 'bokashi' and 'jeevamrit' methods claims promising results in terms of both soil health and fertility.
