AMSTERDAM - The Lycra Company has unveiled the first garment and fabric samples made with seed quantities of bio-derived EcoMade fibre made in part from Qira, a next-generation key ingredient made from annually renewable field corn.
Billed as the “world's first large-scale production of renewable elastane”, the first samples, which contained 70% renewable content, were on show at this week’s Kingpins show in Amsterdam alongside the company’s new FitSense denim technology.
