WASHINGTON, D.C – The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) and the Fair Labor Association (FLA) have issued a joint call for Bangladesh’s interim government to focus on improving worker rights in the country’s garment, footwear, and travel goods industries.
Writing to Mohammad Yunus, chief advisor of the Interim Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the two organisations applauded the interim government’s focus on reforming local labour laws to align with International Labor Organization (ILO) standards.
