BENGALURU – Fashion retail giant H&M has teamed up with Save the Children India to launch a circular textile project in the city of Bengaluru, the capital of India's southern Karnataka state.
Designed to tackle the city’s mounting waste management issues, much of the which is caused by discarded clothing and textiles, the Tikau Fashion project will use youth programmes and community education schemes to help promote more sustainable practices whilst also tackling rising youth unemployment.
