DHAKA - Garment workers' leaders in Bangladesh have presented a demand for improved pay and conditions to the country's new interim government led by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

The Sramik Samhati (Bangladesh Garment Workers' Solidarity) organisation is hoping the new government is more receptive to the pleas of workers in the industry which is responsible for more than 80% of the country's exports.
