ROME - Italy's competition watchdog is investigating if Armani and Dior misled consumers following inquiries by prosecutors into worker exploitation at suppliers of the two luxury fashion houses.

The Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) is focusing on the contrast between brand messaging to consumers around craftsmanship and corporate social responsibility, with the worker abuse claims uncovered by judicial labour probes.
