OBERTSHAUSEN - Textile machinery specialist Karl Mayer has developed a new processing system for denim yarns which it says offers significant energy savings during the sizing and dyeing stages.
The Cascade system uses recycled steam as a source of heat in the cylinder dryers in the company’s Prosize sizing system – a textile processing stage that strengthens the yarns and makes them less susceptible to breakage during the weaving process, and also during the drying stage in its Bluedye system.
