OLYMPIA - The American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) is urging lawmakers in Washington state to align their proposed legislation restricting the use of PFAS in apparel with similar moves in other US states.
AAFA, which represents more than 1,000 brands, says its members need a standard compliance system so they are not forced to meet a variety of requirements in different states across the country.
