SYDNEY – The Cotton Australia industry body has launched its key planning document for the next five years with a pledge that sustainable farming practices will be at the heart of the sector's future.
Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay said sustainable farming practices were an essential ingredient in the Strategic Plan 2023-2028 which aims to advance the Australian cotton industry, identify opportunities for improvement and resource them to realise opportunities.
“As the industry peak body, we will continue to advocate for viable policy outcomes, fair trade and ethical practices, leveraging innovative technologies, promoting traceability and transparency, providing education and training opportunities while enhancing resource efficiency and security,” he said.
