AUCKLAND - New Zealand government-owned company AsureQuality is no longer a certifier of responsible animal fibre (RAF) standards for the Textile Exchange industry body.
AsureQuality's accreditation to administer the Responsible Wool Standard 2.2 (2021), Responsible Mohair Standard 1.2 (2021), Responsible Alpaca Standard 1.0 (2021) for farm groups was suspended in April.
IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service), AsureQuality's authorised independent accreditation body, has now withdrawn its RAF standards accreditation for farm groups while the company has voluntarily withdrawn from the 'farms' scope.
