ABIDJAN - The Better Cotton initiative is today hosting a multistakeholder event in Cote D’Ivoire to explore the potential for new programmes and partnerships across West and Central Africa.
Better Cotton says the event, in the country's biggest city of Abidjan, will enable stakeholders to share their experiences and perspectives on the future of sustainable cotton production on the continent amidst a rapidly changing climate.
Damien Sanfilippo, senior director of programmes at Better Cotton, said: “The event signifies an important opportunity for cotton stakeholders in Africa to engage with one another and explore partnerships needed to ensure market access and improved sustainability for cotton growers.”
