OUAGADOUGOU – In the midst of conflict and instability, a ray of hope for the cotton industry from Burkina Faso: the first shipment of 100% locally made organic cotton t-shirts, the culmination of a project to link a local value chain that meets Swiss environmental standards.
The project is part of a goal to help west Africa process 5% of its cotton locally.
