STOCKHOLM - Swedish retailer H&M has signed an agreement to power its UK stores, offices and other facilities with renewable electricity directly provided from two new solar projects in Leicestershire.
H&M will source energy from the Streetfield and Northfield House solar projects, which collectively provide an annual output of 54.4 GWh – enough to power 15,000 homes, under a multi-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
“It is great to see the solar parks of Streetfields and Northfield House becoming a reality,” commented Ulrika Leverenz, H&M’s head of green investment.
