BRIGHTON – British fashion brand Lucy & Yak has launched a new takeback initiative through which customers can return unwanted items in exchange for discounts redeemable against future purchases.
It is the latest in a string of sustainability initiatives from the Brighton-based firm, which includes a peer-to-peer resale/swap service and a platform for defective, but still functional, items.
“We’re always looking for new ways to be circular and ensure that our items are kept in use for as long as possible; we believe that brands should take responsibility for the lifecycle of their pieces even after they have been bought,” said co-founder Lucy Greenwood.
