LUBBOCK - The Textile Exchange non-profit is calling on the industry to take wide-ranging actions to address the controversial problem of organic cotton fraud.
In a new report, entitled 'Strengthening Integrity in Organic Cotton', it sets out recommendations for how brands and their supply chain partners can proactively improve the integrity and transparency of the sector.
"Only when we understand the gap between what has been verified and what has been reported, can we effectively start to close that gap," a Textile Exchange spokesperson told Ecotextile News.
