LONDON - The UAL Fashion, Textiles and Technology Institute (FTTI), in partnership with the British Council, has released the findings of an international pilot project to support innovations in sustainable fashion and textile design.
The New Landscapes: Fashion, Textiles and Technology (FTT) Catalyst R&D Grant Scheme brought together five UK fashion and textile small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) with counterparts in official development assistance (ODA) countries.
Some 35 SMEs applied for support through the four-month programme from which five projects involving 10 SMEs were selected to receive £100,000 of funding and up to £14,000 of in-kind specialist support.
