NEW YORK - A new research centre has been established to help apparel companies positively impact their financial performance while driving better outcomes for people and planet.
Called the Apparel Industry Sustainable Strategies Framework, it was launched by the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business with financial backing from HSBC Bank USA.
The project aims to inspire research assessing sustainability efforts across the industry's value chain, identifying eight key strategies that apparel companies can use to improve their financial, environmental and social performance.
