KARACHI - Fashion retailer Primark and brand Hugo Boss are among companies supporting a newly launched project to provide effective grievance mechanisms for textile workers in Pakistan.
The 'Partnership Initiative Complaints Mechanisms' project, previously introduced in Vietnam and India, has now been launched in Pakistan by Fair Wear, Fairtrade Germany and the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles (PST).
The initiative, also supported by fashion retailer Takko and textile manufacturers Kettelhack and Texidea, aims to support workers at suppliers to members of PST and Germany's Green Button eco-label scheme.
