BERLIN – Circular apparel design criteria, developed by German start-up Circular.Fashion, is to be made available to more brands and retailers within the sector to help them comply with the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles.
The strategy demands that “by 2030 textile products placed on the EU market are long-lived and recyclable, to a great extent made of recycled fibres, free of hazardous substances and produced in respect of social rights and the environment”.
Fashion brand Zalando has helped Circular.Fashion adapt its criteria having previously utilised the resource amidst its move to more circular business practices.
