VILVOORDE – Apparel retailer C&A has forged a four-year partnership with Spanish materials science company Recover as the pair vie to “place recycled cotton as the core ingredient of a more sustainable fashion industry”.
Recover’s flagship fibre is made from recycled post-industrial and post-consumer waste and is said to use significantly less water, energy and land than conventional cotton.
C&A will integrate its new partner’s proprietary fibre into its first collection by April, with the view to increasing its prominence across the retailer’s future ranges.
