WINTERTHUR – Recycling innovator Worn Again Technologies has launched a new recycling network which it sees as a key milestone in the upscaling of its proprietary technology.
The Swiss Textile Recycling Ecosystem is a network of industry stakeholders ranging from brands and retailers to waste collectors and sorters, which will help Worn Again process upwards of 1,000 tonnes per year out of its new demonstration plant in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Erik Koep, CEO at Worn Again, said: “Launching the Swiss Textile Recycling Ecosystem is a vision coming true. This leading group of likeminded organisations will help to shift the fashion industry from traditional, linear product lifecycle models to eco-conscious, circular material management.”
