GOTHENBURG – Swedish denim brand Nudie Jeans and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) have offered an update on a project which is assessing the potential to reintegrate pre-consumer textile waste into its supply chain.
The pair have been working in Tunisia, as part of the European Union-funded SwitchMed project, where two facilities manufacture more than half of Nudie Jeans’ stock.
Thus far, it’s said that more than 16,000 pairs of new jeans have been produced with a composition of more than 20 per cent recycled cotton.
