PAIMIO – Finnish recycling specialist Rester has teamed up with waste management firm LSJH to open Northern Europe’s largest textile recycling plant.
Situated in Paimoio, Southwest Finland, the facility is expected to process 12 million kilogrammes of textiles annually.
“Through active cooperation with our partners, we can immediately influence the materials in terms of their degree of circular economy. It is rewarding to be involved in taking material that was previously classified as waste and reusing it as quality raw material,” said Rester’s chief executive, Outi Luukko.
