SAN FRANCISCO – The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and its technology partner Higg have welcomed Tommy Hilfiger as the latest brand to adopt Higg Index Sustainability Profiles.
Launched in May – with H&M, Amazon and C&A amongst its early supporters – the Sustainability Profiles programme tasks companies with publishing data-backed environmental claims, benefitting customers with “unprecedented visibility into a product’s impact”.
“Transparency is essential in our vision to create fashion that wastes nothing and welcomes all and we’re excited to expand this programme in the coming seasons,” said Esther Verburg, Tommy Hilfiger’s executive vice president for sustainability, business and innovation.
