PARIS – French fashion conglomerate Kering has announced that beyond its Fall 2022 collections, all of the group’s labels – which includes Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen – will go fur-free.

It has been a work in progress for the apparel giant, with Gucci the first to ban fur from its collections back in 2017.

“For many years, Kering has sought to take the lead in sustainability, guided by a vision of luxury that is inseparable from the very highest environmental and social values and standards,” noted chairman and CEO, François-Henri Pinault. The time has now come to take a further step forward by ending the use of fur in all our collections.”
