LEICESTER – Fast fashion firm Boohoo has vowed to investigate fresh allegations of exploitation at a factory in Leicester that Sky News links back to them.
Someone who claims to work at the site approached the broadcaster to say that staff are still being underpaid, because they’re required to return a portion of their wage to the factory.
“Boohoo have been proactive in their measures to mitigate the risk of labour exploitation within their supply chains, and have made a strong commitment to tackling the unscrupulous and exploitative employment practices that still sadly exist within some suppliers to the garment industry,” the brand said in a statement.
