MANCHESTER - A leading barrister carrying out an independent review for fast fashion retailer Boohoo into pay and conditions at its supply factories has issued a public call for evidence.
Alison Levitt QC, who specialises in business crime, is examining allegations that garment workers in Leicester are paid as little as £3.50 per hour and that factory conditions contributed to a coronavirus spike that saw the city forced back into lockdown.
She has now appealed for evidence from members of the public with information on working conditions in factories in Leicester which supply garments to Boohoo brands including Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing, Nasty Gal, MissPap, Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis and Warehouse.
