ZURICH - French fashion brand Chanel is investing US$25 million in a new fund which aims to help smallholder farmers in developing countries deal with the impacts of climate change.
Chanel is the anchor investor in the Landscape Resilience Fund (LRF) which is today launched by the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) and sustainability consultants South Pole.
The fashion house's investment complements funding in the initiative from the Global Environment Facility’s Least Developed Countries Fund and Special Climate Change Fund.
