WILMINGTON – The Lycra Company has announced that its six manufacturing sites have all completed sustainability self-assessments using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM).
The company first trialled the tool at a factory in Northern Ireland a year ago, and says that based on its initial findings it saw value in extending this across its units to establish an overall benchmark from which to progress.
Gary Huffman, the company’s director of operations excellence, said: “Having all sites complete the module underscores our commitment to manufacturing excellence across a broad variety of sustainability parameters and gives us a framework for future improvements.”
