STOCKHOLM – Swedish fashion giant the H&M Group has announced the expansion of its second-hand platform Sellpy into Austria and the Netherlands, following a successful introduction within Germany last summer.
The platform’s rollout into Germany was said to represent “the first stage” of a planned international expansion, and highlighted H&M’s interest in making second-hand fashion more accessible after the firm assumed majority control of Sellpy in 2019.
Nanna Andersen, head of H&M’s investment arm CO:LAB, said: “We truly believe in the entrepreneurs and team behind Sellpy and their unique circular business model, which perfectly aligns with our vision to become fully circular.”
