PARIS – Luxury fashion group Kering has partnered with environmental NGO Conservational International to launch its Regenerative Fund for Nature.
The project sets out to transform one million hectares of farmland and other landscapes which bare raw materials for the apparel industry by championing regenerative agriculture over the next five years.
“Essentially, we are providing funds to groups that can directly trigger change at the farm-level, ultimately transitioning one million hectares to practices that work in harmony with nature,” said Marie-Claire Daveu, chief sustainability officer and head of international institutional affairs at Kering.
