NORTHAMPTON - The Leather Working Group (LWG), which works to reduce the environmental impact of the leather industry, has signed up its 1,000th member company.
Established in 2005, the LWG was created as a non-profit organisation in which brands and manufacturers collaborate to drive best practice in leather production and sourcing.
“Reaching this milestone is a significant achievement that reinforces LWG’s position as one of the leather industry’s leading certification programmes,” commented LWG operations manager Christina Trautmann.
