STUTTGART – German department store Breuninger has joined the international Fur Free Retailer (FFR) programme after banning the material from its chain of stores and online marketplace.
The decision has seen more than 1,000 brands align with Breuninger, as they too were required to stop selling stock made from or containing real fur, if they were to continue to operate using Breuninger’s premises and sales channels.
“We are very pleased to be a member of the international Fur Free Retailer programme,” said CEO Holger Blecker. “As a leading fashion and lifestyle company, we take our responsibilities seriously and view it as our duty to make an active contribution to a sustainable future.”
