DHAKA - The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has launched a new programme - ‘Go Human, Go Green’ - in which its members promise to respect their workers and the environment.
The campaign involves seven specific pledges which the BGMEA says are designed to make a positive difference to garment workers, their local communities and the environment.
Go Human, Go Green - which aims to align the apparel industry in Bangladesh with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - was launched by Bangladesh's Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at an online event.
