ESPOO – Machinery manufacturer Andritz has struck a deal with textile recycler Infinited Fiber Company with its process and equipment solutions.
The pair have undertaken trials over the past year to determine whether they’re compatible and, following a successful stint, will now look to scale IFC’s proprietary technology and the volumes of recycled cellulose that can be produced.
“Andritz is a leading factory equipment supplier, and we are delighted to be working with them to prepare our textile fibre regeneration technology for commercialisation,” said Infinited Fiber Company co-founder and CEO, Petri Alava. “Bringing to market a new technology, a new fiber type, and even a new way of operating in accordance with circular economy principals requires the creation of a strong ecosystem of experts working towards common goals. We are proud that Andritz is a key member of this ecosystem.”
