ESPOO - Recycled textile producer Infinited Fiber Company's regenerated Infinna fibre is to be made available to consumers for the first time in a limited collection of jeans from H&M brand Weekday.
Just 64 pairs of the jeans, made with 50 per cent Infinna and 50 per cent organic cotton, go on sale on the brand's website tomorrow - Thursday 4th February - in what Infinited Fiber Company describe as a significant milestone.
Infinna is chemically recycled from 100 per cent textile waste yet claims to look and feel like virgin cotton or viscose. It's produced using a carbomate process that avoids some hazardous chemicals used in viscose production such as carbon disulphides. It’s also claimed to have a lower manufacturing water footprint.
