MANCHESTER – Fast fashion brand Boohoo has appointed retired judge Sir Brian Leveson to independently oversee the progress of its Agenda for Change programme.
The Manchester brand introduced the programme off the back of Alison Levitt QC’s inquiry, which found “many failings” in its Leicester supply chain such as poor working conditions at the height of the pandemic and illegal pay.
The Boohoo Group’s chairman, Mahmud Kamani, commented: “Myself and the board are fully committed to this programme, with the appointments of Sir Brian Leveson and KPMG bringing independent oversight, additional expertise and further transparency to a programme that will help us on our journey to lead the fashion e-commerce market globally in a transparent manner.”
