SYSTON – Homeware retailer Dunelm has today launched a new textile recycling scheme at select stores across the UK, which encourages customers to return their unwanted household fabrics.
The concept, which has been piloted at stores in Nottingham and Stockton, champions a circular economy and will see items including duvet covers, sheets, towels and curtains, be recycled and repurposed depending on the condition of each product.
“We want to get better at caring for the environment and helping to make recycling easier for our customers, as well as make it a normal part of how we view textiles in day-to-day life,” said sustainability lead at Dunelm, Shriya Pancholi. “We really hope our customers join us in taking a step in this direction.”
