VICTORIA – Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) is calling on wool growers across the country to complete an online survey detailing what they believe to be priorities for a prosperous industry, to better inform the organisation’s Wool 2030 strategic plan.
The survey, which closes August 16, explores opportunities and risks in equal measure to garner a picture of where stakeholders would like to see the industry at the start of the next decade.
AWI chief executive officer Stuart McCullough says the purpose of this exercise and the long-term strategy, which will be headed up by representatives of AWI’s Wool Consultation Group (WCG), is to ensure wool production remains both sustainable and profitable.
