LONDON - The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) has revealed that it worked with more than two million cotton farmers in 21 countries over the course of the 2017/18 cotton season.
The not-for-profit organisation — the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world - says the results clearly demonstrate the benefits of implementing more sustainable practices.
The BCI provides cotton farmers with training, tools and capacity building to tackle issues, from water use to pest management, to help them to produce cotton in a way that is measurably better for themselves, the environment and farming communities.
