HONG KONG – Asian clothing giant Crystal Group has touted its ‘sustainable’ progress in the company’s 2018 Sustainability Report, placing particular emphasis on its five-year sustainability targets and the progress made in the past year, including cutting the carbon footprint per garment by 6 per cent.
However, not all information contained in the report is positive. The company notes that, despite a target to reduce freshwater consumption per garment by 8 per cent by 2022, it increased by 20 per cent in 2018.
“Looking ahead, we will remain focused on working towards accomplishing our five-year sustainability targets,” said Andrew Lo, CEO of Crystal.
