MANCHESTER – UK fast-fashion brand Boohoo walked back its ban on wool products hours after it was initially announced, following strong criticism from Australian sheep farmers – the industry’s biggest source of merino wool fibre.
However, Ecotextile News has found only a handful of Boohoo products currently on sale which contain wool – at a quantity no higher than 26 per cent – after others have already accused the company’s initial ban as nothing more than a publicity stunt.
