SAN FRANCISCO – The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is to open a new European headquarters in Amsterdam and has, “already begun conversations with European member states,” as it looks to align the Higg Index more closely with EU policy on environmental issues. The new office will be headed up initially by Dai Forterre, formerly head of sustainability at Asics Europe. A new Asian office in Hong Kong is also on the cards for early next year.
