WASHINGTON DC - Formaldehyde, which is used in textile finishing and to bind dyes to fabrics, presents an “unreasonable risk" to human health, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The US government agency's long-awaited 'final risk evaluation' said that formaldehyde, which can cause cancer, asthma and miscarriages, was found "nearly everywhere".
