LONDON - The Future Fibres Network+ (FFN+), a collaborative effort between UK universities and fashion industry trade bodies, is exploring the potential for the UK’s first wetsuit recycling facility.
The neoprene recycling initiative is the latest of eight projects currently being funded by the FFN+ which, led by the University of Exeter in partnership with the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT), is working to embed environmental sciences at the heart of the fashion and textile sectors, and establish systematic, circular and sustainable principles as the industry norm.
