LEICESTER - More than 1,200 garment workers in Leicester have been illegally underpaid over the last five years, according to newly disclosed figures.
The figures, which cover the financial years from 2019-20 to 2023-24 and were revealed by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), identify £177,678 in national minimum wage arrears.
