LONDON – UK retailer John Lewis is trialling an in-store repair and alterations service to prolong the life of various items including garments.

The trial launches in five John Lewis stores this week in a partnership with dry cleaning and laundry company Johnsons, and comes after WRAP data showed that extending a garment’s life by nine months can reduce carbon, waste, and water footprints by up to 30 per cent.
